Acupunture

Acupuncture has been in use for thousands of years as both a preventative and therapeutic medicine. It can be a stand-alone treatment for symptoms or work alongside other medical treatments. Studies show acupuncture can positively impact many areas of health including fertility, headaches, pain management, anxiety, insomnia and digestive issues. Acupuncture communicates with the body to stimulate specific change. It can impact blood flow, hormones, neurotransmitters, immune function, inflammation, cellular health, pain receptors, and muscle tone. Acupuncture does not hurt and typically leaves patients feeling very relaxed. Treatments may also include red/infrared LED light therapy with Celluma Pro, cupping, moxibustion, targeted Eastern nutrition advice, or customized herbal prescriptions made in-house.

In-home acupuncture visits are also available and can be arranged through contacting our front desk.

Acupuncture support for Embryo Transfers. We provide onsite acupuncture at CCRM NY, but support patients from all IVF clinics in the tri-state area.

Embryo Transfer Support

We perform acupuncture support onsite at CCRM NY for IVF embryo transfers. Acupuncture has been shown in studies to help promote implantation when performed before and after an embryo transfer. Patients at other NYC clinics should plan to come to our Chelsea clinic within 24 hours before AND after their transfer. These appointments can be scheduled online here or through our front desk.

For inquiries and pricing for onsite support at CCRM, please contact us and coordinate with CCRM NY staff.

reproductive mental health support

Our in-house reproductive mental health specialists from Calla Collective understand how to support patients and couples navigating intense reproductive journeys. We know how important it is to work with a therapist who understands the challenges people face when struggling to conceive, experiencing pregnancy loss, a traumatic birth, postpartum depression or anxiety or the complexities of a couple’s relationship during these intense times.

Sessions for individuals are typically 45-50 minutes and for couples, 60 minutes. Sessions can be done virtually or in-person.

hormone replacement therapy and perimenopause support

Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) in the form of patches, oral pills or tablets, gels, or bio-identical subcutaneous pellet implants is now available for our perimenopausal patients through Nandini Yadav, MD.

Dr. Yadav is a double boarded Internal and obesity medicine doctor, who did additional training and certification in longevity medicine and bio-identical HRT. In addition to HRT for this patient population, Dr. Yadav uses tools to help maintain metabolic, gut and cardiovascular health. She can also administer injectables such as NAD+, Vitamins B12 & D and glutathione. These tools alongside acupuncture, oral supplements and herbs can help patients navigate perimenopause more comfortably with lasting health benefits.

Somatic Experiencing energy healing by Rebecca Summers, MD, supporting stress, shock and trauma symptoms. Support for pregnancy loss, infertility grief, traumatic births, postpartum, long covid and other chronic conditions.

somatic experiencing

Somatic Experiencing is a naturalistic and neurobiological approach that aims to resolve symptoms of stress, shock, and trauma that accumulate in our bodies. It supports the nervous system to come into more regulation and increase capacity towards stressors. This, in turn, allows for more resilience, awareness, and connection to self and to others. Somatic Experiencing (SE) sessions are performed at Lily + Horn by Dr. Becca Summers, MD, a physician with over a decade of experience, double boarded in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease. SE is wonderful for regulating the nervous system after a pregnancy loss, intense fertility journey, traumatic birth experience, postpartum struggle or other chronic conditions involving trauma. Dr. Summers also supports patients experiencing Long Covid.

NAD+ and vitamin INJECTIONS

Our in-house physicians Dr. Summers and Dr. Yadav are now offering NAD+ and vitamin injections such as B12, Vitamin D and glutathione at Lily + Horn. Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) may be particularly helpful for fertility as it is a naturally occurring metabolic cofactor in mammals that declines with age. Evidence suggests boosting NAD+ levels could improve egg quality and ovarian function. NAD+ is a large molecule and poorly absorbed through digestion, so injections or IV drips are the preferred way to increase levels. Injections will be administering after an initial screening (which can be in-person or virtual). Patients low in Vitamin D and B12 can benefit from injections in addition to oral supplementation to bring up levels faster.

naturopathic medicine

Naturopathy is a medical approach that aims to prevent and treat acute and chronic illness and restore and establish optimal health by supporting the person's inherent self-healing process. Sessions aim to address the root causes of disease and optimize health. After a thorough initial interview reviewing health history (including any western medical testing or imagining), our Naturopathic doctor Barbara Siminovich-Blok, MA, ND, L.Ac will design a protocol that will support your health or fertility journey using a combination of supplements, nutrition, homeopathy, and therapeutic exercise. All treatments used are backed by scientific evidence.

Cosmetic Acupuncture

Cosmetic Acupuncture sessions can focus on the face, neck and hairline to improve age-related wrinkle length and skin laxity, lighten melasma, reduce face swelling and water retention, improving overall complexion and facial skin condition.

Sessions can also focus on areas of the body other than the face to decrease the appearance of cellulite and improve skin collagen production, plumping, lifting and firming the skin. This can be particularly helpful to improve abdominal tone, tighten stretched skin, reduce scar tissue and target cellulite and visible veins. Treatments may also include Celluma LED light therapy.
